Italy’s MIR Group to establish manufacturing facility in Mangaluru

The Italy-based MIR Group is planning to make investments round €20 million in Mangaluru for the institution of its manufacturing unit for the manufacturing of energy-efficient constructing supplies reminiscent of Constructing Built-in Photovoltaic (BIPV) panels, thermal insulation supplies and sodium-ion batteries.

Addressing media individuals in Mangaluru on Wednesday, Sai Chandu, Sustainability Head, MIR Group, stated the corporate is planning to make investments round €20 million for the institution of its plant in Mangalore Particular Financial Zone Ltd (MSEZL) in the subsequent three years.

Requested concerning the manufacturing capability of the Mangaluru unit, he stated the plant might produce round 1.5 million sq metres of BIPV panels. The corporate is planning to produce 250,000 sq metres of those panels in the primary 12 months.

Nitik Ratnakar, Government Director, MIR Group (UAE, India), stated the inspiration stone for the Mangaluru unit can be laid on February 21 at MSEZL. He hoped that the unit could be prepared for operation by February 2027. MIR Group is planning to carry an ecosystem on sustainable buildings to Mangaluru with this unit.

Raffaele Marrazzo, Chief Government Officer of MIR Group S.r.l., stated MIR Group will organise ‘MIR NetZero Imaginative and prescient 2047 Summit’ in Mangaluru on February 20.

Terming the occasion as the inspiration of India’s long-term Web-Zero ecosystem, he stated MIR acts as a catalyst, accelerating Web-Zero buildings and infrastructure from imaginative and prescient to execution, integrating know-how, design, engineering and coverage for scalable impression.
