Republican Rep. Carlos Gimenez celebrated sanctions imposed on Chilean authorities officers by the State Division on Friday, saying that the administration of “Communist Gabriel Boric is undermining U.S. coverage by supporting Cuba’s murderous dictatorship.”
The State Division mentioned it imposed visa restrictions on “three Chilean authorities officers who knowingly directed, licensed, funded, offered important assist to, and/or carried out actions that compromised essential telecommunications infrastructure and undermined regional safety in our hemisphere.”
The doc didn’t specify who the officers are or what particular actions they’ve taken, however famous that the choices “reaffirm President Trump’s dedication to guard America’s financial prosperity and nationwide safety pursuits in our area.”

“Chile is a rustic that’s happy with its sovereignty and profoundly respectful of nationwide and worldwide legislation. We do not settle for anybody dictating what we will or cannot do past the legislation. Our sovereignty is to be revered,” he added.
