Shillong, Feb 25: The District Round of the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament, 2026 for East Garo Hills District was held at williamnagar Authorities school on Wednesday.
This system was graced by Diana G Sangma, Extra Deputy Commissioner, East Garo hills because the Chief Visitor.
Following the formal inauguration a welcome deal with was delivered by the principal of the school Sunita Ch Momin, adopted by the introduction on viksit bharat youth parliament 2026 by the IQAC coordinator.
In her speech, she highlighted that the Youth Parliament is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports activities, Authorities of India, aimed at participating younger individuals in parliamentary-style debates, deliberating on nationwide points, and contributing concepts towards the imaginative and prescient of Viksit Bharat@2047—India’s aspiration to change into a totally developed nation by its centenary of independence.
An Elocution Contest on the theme “50 Years of Emergency: Classes for Indian Democracy” was performed, with 17 contestants collaborating. Every speaker was allotted 3 minutes. Lecturer Williamnagar Authorities Greater secondary college.
5 contestants had been chosen from the 17 contestants to characterize the East Garo Hills district within the upcoming State-Degree Round.
Prizes and certificates had been distributed by the judges. This system concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr Cherik D D Sangma IQAC coordinator Williamnagar Authorities College.
