New Delhi, Feb 26 (PTI) The Delhi authorities has despatched a proposal to the Centre for setting up two AI centres of excellence to promote analysis and growth in synthetic intelligence (AI), officers stated on Thursday.
The proposed centres could be set up on the Netaji Subhas College of Know-how (NSUT) and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha College — each Delhi authorities establishments, they stated.
“We’re but to obtain a response from the central authorities over the proposal. As soon as the proposal is authorised, we’ll transfer ahead for a tripartite settlement together with the Centre,the schools involved and the Delhi authorities,” stated a senior Delhi authorities officer.
The proposal was submitted just lately to the Centre below the India AI Mission, he stated. The India AI Mission was launched by the Authorities of India in March 2024, with an outlay of ₹10,372 crore, aiming to construct a powerful AI ecoystem within the nation over a interval of 5 years.
