Two boys drown in pit filled with water in Dharwad

In a tragic incident, two seven-year-old boys drowned in a water-filled pit of a home underneath development in Mansur village of Dharwad district.

The incident occurred on Wednesday evening and the deceased have been recognized as Ningappa Mudakannavar of Mansur and Pratham Ullagaddi, a resident of Sattur in Dharwad.

In response to the police, Pratham had come to his maternal uncle’s home for summer season trip and he, alongside with Ningappa, had gone out to play.

As they didn’t return until late in the night, the members of the family began a seek for them in a pit filled with water.

The pit was dug for storing water for development of the home in the village.

The Dharwad Rural Police have registered a case.
