In response to the backlash, Crockett said on X that her remarks weren’t associated to Abbott’s use of a wheelchair.
“I wasn’t occupied with the governor’s condition-I used to be occupied with the planes, trains, and cars he used to switch migrants into communities led by Black mayors, intentionally stoking stress and worry among the many most susceptible,” Crockett posted.
“Actually, the subsequent line I mentioned was that he was a ‘Scorching A** Mess,’ referencing his horrible insurance policies. At no level did I point out or allude to his situation,” she added.
“So, I am much more appalled that the very individuals who unequivocally help Trump-a man identified for racially insensitive nicknames and mocking these with disabilities-are now outraged.”
