New Delhi: Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) hospital on Friday temporarily closed five operation theatres (OTs) in its new OT advanced for renovation and whitewashing. Whereas the renovations will finish on March 31, emergency ophthalmology surgical procedures will proceed in ECS OT III till then. These OTs will probably be operational solely on April 2 following receipt of a detrimental tradition report, mentioned officers.
A tradition report evaluates the degrees of microbial contamination throughout the OT setting. It’s performed to keep up sterility and forestall infections at surgical websites.
The closure coincides with three non-working days, together with the weekend and Eid vacation, minimising disruption to providers. The renovation emerged from a gathering held on March 20, chaired by Dr D S Chauhan, regarding NABH accreditation. tnn
