Throughout an inspection performed on Ms Medtabs Pharma Non-public Ltd in Kolhapur on June 8, a big inventory of allopathic medicines, significantly antibiotic injections, was discovered.
The institution failed to supply the mandatory licences and legitimate documentation associated to the acquisition and sale of those medicines, the FDA stated.
This was discovered to be a violation of the provisions of the Medication and Cosmetics Act, 1940. Samples of the medicines have been collected for testing, and the remaining inventory comprising 29 forms of medicines worth ₹13.62 lakh has been seized.

In one other operation, the company raided Cipla Pharma and Life Sciences’ godown on June 8.
Throughout the inspection, it was noticed that the packaging of “Rectin Plus Tablets”, a prescription medication falling below Schedule H, contained promotional promoting associated to the usage of the medication. Such promoting was discovered to be inconsistent with the provisions of the Medication and Cosmetics Guidelines, 1945.

Following the motion, FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe stated medicines must be purchased from authorised distributors solely.
Manufacturing, distribution and sale of unlawful medicines won’t be tolerated, and there shall be strict motion in opposition to those that play with the lives of individuals. Such actions will proceed, Mundhe warned.
