Sivasubramanian Ramann appointed as PFRDA chairman for five years – CNBC TV18

The federal government has appointed Sivasubramanian Ramann as the brand new Chairperson of the Pension Fund Regulatory and Growth Authority (PFRDA). The Appointments Committee of the Cupboard (ACC) has accepted his appointment for a tenure of five years.

Ramann at present serves as the Deputy Comptroller & Auditor Common (CAG) and Chief Expertise Officer on the CAG of India.

What’s PFRDA?

PFRDA is the statutory physique regulating and creating India’s pension sector. It was established below the PFRDA Act, 2013, and operates below the Ministry of Finance.
