Woman Shri Ram Faculty’s fest witnessed every thing soothing from Bollywood’s widespread Sufi numbers to qawwalis and even sher-o-shayari, courtesy Nizami Brothers
Friday night turned soulful as Sufi tunes stuffed the campus of Woman Shri Ram Faculty for Ladies (LSR). Round 4,000 students, from Delhi College’s varied schools, gathered and sang alongside because the artiste duo Nizami Brothers took the stage for the finale of LSR’s annual cultural fest, Tarang’25.

“Bade laa-javaab hain aap sab,” exclaimed the performers onstage as they took to sing some timeless hits like Kajra Re (Bunty Aur Babli; 2005), Ye Tune Kya Kiya (As soon as Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara; 2013), and Afreen Afreen, to call a couple of. Their musical notes resonated with the viewers. “At most faculty fests, we’re used to listening to pop songs or Punjabi numbers. It was refreshing to witness a soulful Sufi night for a change,” says Rhiti Grewal, a pupil of Kamala Nehru Faculty (KNC), including, “My buddies and I’ll at all times cherish this night as we utterly forgot about our traditional stress of research and exams!”
A Sher for Princi’s Attraction

The singers continued to regale the gang with their shayari, in between their gayaki. At one level, they even requested the students to remain quiet and requested the faculty to sing, in jest, the traces Na Chedo Humein, Hum Sataye Hue Hain.
Then got here a second that elicited the loudest cheer as these singers devoted a sher to reward the appeal of LSR’s performing principal, Kanika Ok Ahuja. After the efficiency, Ahuja instructed us, “The Nizami Brothers’ efficiency was completely mesmerising! They created a fascinating ambiance that captivated the students and faculty alike. Their vitality was infectious, and left us all singing, dancing, and utterly immersed within the magic of the second.”
