Shimla: The pensioners of varied authorities departments in Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday staged an illustration right here and threatened to launch an agitation if their calls for of well timed cost of pension and clearance of different dues have been not met. The pensioners, who held demonstrations at Ambedkar Chowk underneath the banner of State Pensioners Sangh, alleged that the federal government was “insensitive” in the direction of them and was “victimising” them.
The pensioners are not getting pension on time, their dues, together with arrears and medical reimbursement payments, are not being paid, mentioned Ghanshyam Sharma, vice chairman of the Sangh.
Some pensioners died as they may not get correct remedy for need of cash as medical payments have not been cleared for the previous two years, he alleged.
In the meantime, the Drivers and Conductors Union of Himachal Roads Transport Company has threatened to go on battle path after the talks between the union and HRTC vice chairman Ajay Verma remained inconclusive.
In the course of the talks, the union leaders made it clear that they might undertake the trail of agitation and future technique could be chalked out shortly.
President of the union Man Singh mentioned that no concrete assurance was given relating to cost of extra time dues of previous 65 months, arrears of revised pay scales and different dues.
He mentioned that if the federal government is not able to clear the whole liabilities, it should launch Rs 59 crore as introduced by the chief minister.
