Notably, as part of its company social duty (CSR) initiative, the Indian Oil Company Restricted (IOCL), in collaboration with the Folks-to-Folks Well being Basis, donated two handheld X-ray machines and two fluorescent microscopes to the Punjab well being division.
Expressing his gratitude to the IOCL, Dr Balbir Singh mentioned these machines would strengthen diagnostic capabilities in the Sangrur and Malerkotla districts.
Underlining the necessity for early detection, the minister mentioned in Punjab, the 2020-21 survey revealed a prevalence-notification ratio of two.8:1, underscoring the vital want for enhanced screening efforts.
