A labourer was killed and 5 others had been injured after they fell from the fifth floor of an under-construction building in Mumbai’s Chembur on Saturday afternoon.
In response to the preliminary data, the incident was reported at 12.05 pm at Building Quantity 36 in Chembur’s Subhash Nagar. The six labourers had been taken to Rajawadi Hospital, the place one individual was declared useless.
The deceased has been recognized as Ramallu, 55, and the injured as Gunadhar Rai, 22, Usrai, 30, Ramesh Rai, 25, Vijay, 35, and Sandip, 27.
A police officer stated that there was no readability on the rationale behind the fall, and they’re investigating the matter. “If we discover that there was any negligence in phrases of security mechanisms not being offered by the contractor, an offence shall be registered towards the individuals involved,” the officer added.
