Mysore/Mysuru: The second day of competitions on Feb. 17 on the 38th All India Postal Cultural Meet, presently being held in Mysuru, witnessed outstanding performances.
By securing 11 first prizes, 13 second prizes and a pair of third prizes, the Karnataka Postal Circle claimed the primary place. The Kerala Postal Circle secured the second place with 14 first prizes, 4 second prizes and 1 third prize. The Odisha Postal Circle maintained the third place by profitable a complete of 9 prizes.
From the Karnataka Postal Circle, S. Charmi received first prize in Junior Class – Karnataka Type Folks Singing and second prize in Odissi dance. Pallavi L. Kodiya secured first prize in Senior Class – Karnataka Type Folks Singing and third prize in Hindustani Type Folks Singing.
Shambhavi Degavi Math received first prize in Junior Class – Hindustani Type Folks Singing. C.G. Pradyumna Kaushik secured first prize in Senior Class – Hindustani Type Violin. Sparsha received first prize in Senior Class – Bharatanatyam. Shrushti secured second prize in Junior Class – Sattriya dance and D.M. Punyashree received second prize in Junior Class – Mohiniyattam. From the Odisha Postal Circle, Banashree Patnaik received second prize in Senior Class – Karnataka Type Folks Singing. Lakshman Das obtained a particular prize. Aman Kumar Das secured first prize in Junior Class – Tabla and likewise received a prize within the Senior Class.
