BENGALURU: The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) community gathered on Friday evening to mourn the victims of the current terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir.
The condolence assembly occurred on the institute’s Primary Constructing at 9.15pm Friday, with roughly 700 college students, school, alumni, and employees in attendance.
The gathering started with a two-minute silence in reminiscence of the deceased, providing a second of collective reflection and solidarity. College students then lit candles whereas sustaining a respectful environment, demonstrating help for the grieving households.
The vigil was organised by IISc college students to specific the institute’s sorrow and condemn the act of terrorism that claimed harmless lives. Attendees shared a way of unity within the face of tragedy.
The night concluded with the singing of the nationwide anthem. “The candle flames symbolised hope, resilience, and the spirit of a nation standing collectively in mourning,” a press release launched Saturday learn.
