An Indian origin Malaysian man, who hid a pet in a laundry bag whereas smuggling it into Singapore from Malaysia, was sentenced to eight weeks’ jail and fined SGD2,500 on Tuesday.
Mahentharan Ganesan, 43, pleaded responsible to 3 costs – one depend of importing an animal with out a licence and two counts of breaching his responsibility of care as an animal proprietor, with one other cost considered for his sentencing, the Channel Information Asia reported.
