The police on Wednesday arrested a 25-year-old man in reference to the alleged murder of a migrant worker from West Bengal, recognized as Sushant Roy, at a building web site of the workplace constructing of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML).
The arrested is Sanjith Roy, a relative of Sushant Roy. The alleged murder occurred in the early hours of Monday following a drunken brawl amongst staff.
District Police Chief Vijay Bharat Reddy confirmed that the dying was brought on by a deadly blow to the neck with a picket stick. “The murder was not premeditated however triggered by sudden provocation below the affect of alcohol,” he stated.
The autopsy performed on the Kannur Medical School Hospital had revealed that neck accidents induced the dying.
The investigation group was led by DySP C.Okay. Sunil Kumar and inspector Nalinakshan.
