SHILLONG, FEB 17: Power Minister Metbah Lyngdoh has introduced the federal government’s plan to tap the state’s thermal power potential, aiming to arrange 550 MW of thermal power technology capacity.
Replying to a query tabled within the Meeting on Tuesday, Lyngdoh stated, “The division is eager to tap its big thermal power potential. The federal government is exploring the feasibility of creating thermal power vegetation both below its personal initiative, by way of non-public builders or below a three way partnership association.”
The deliberate capacity contains 250 MW below authorities or three way partnership initiative and 300 MW by way of non-public builders, Lyngdoh added.
