Srinagar: The elected authorities of Jammu and Kashmir launched its first invoice in the Legislative Assembly on Saturday.
Following the Query Hour, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, on behalf of Finance Minister Omar Abdullah, launched the Jammu and Kashmir Items and Companies Tax (Modification) Bill, 2025 in the Home.
The proposed invoice goals to align J&Okay’s Items and Companies Tax (GST) legislation with the latest amendments made to the Central Items and Companies Tax (CGST) Act.
The amendments are primarily regulatory in nature, meant to streamline tax laws with out imposing any recurring or non-recurring monetary burden.
It marks the primary legislative proposal tabled in the Assembly for the reason that restoration of the elected authorities in Jammu and Kashmir. Beneath central rule from 2018, the Parliament held the legislative authority over J&Okay’s legal guidelines. (KNO)
