Pakistani troops continued to violate the ceasefire alongside the LoC by resorting to unprovoked firing in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch and Kupwara districts, military officers mentioned on Monday.
This was the fourth consecutive evening that Pakistan resorted to unprovoked firing alongside the Line of Management (LoC) and got here amid heightened stress between New Delhi and Islamabad following final week’s terror assault in Pahalgam.
A defence spokesperson mentioned, “Through the evening of April 27-28, Pakistan Military posts initiated unprovoked small arms fireplace throughout the LoC in areas reverse Kupwara and Poonch districts.” Indian troops responded swiftly and successfully, he added.
