The Enforcement Directorate Friday stated it has seized money price Rs 11.64 crore after it performed recent searches towards some folks being probed in a cash laundering case towards Bihar IAS officer Sanjeev Hans.
The raids have been launched on Thursday at seven areas in Patna.
The federal probe company stated in an announcement that it searched the premises of Tarini Das, chief engineer of Bihar Development Division (BCD); Mumukshu Chaudhary, joint secretary in Bihar authorities’s finance division; and Umesh Kumar Singh, govt engineer of City Improvement and Housing Dept. (UDHD) amongst others.
Raids have been additionally performed towards Ayaz Ahmed, Deputy Challenge Director of Bihar City Infrastructure Improvement Company Ltd. (BUIDCO); Sagar Jaiswal, DGM (Initiatives) of Bihar Medical Companies and Infrastructure Company Ltd. (BMSICL); Vikash Jha, DGM of BMSICL; and Saket Kumar, Government Engineer within the Bihar Development Division (BCD).
It claimed that these officers have been the “recipients” of bribe cash to provide “beneficial” outcomes in a number of tenders in addition to clearance of payments of assorted contractors together with that of a Patna-based contractor named Rishu Shree.
