Six MLAs from the Naga neighborhood met Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla on the Raj Bhavan on Thursday and apprised him of the issues confronted by the widespread folks, an announcement from the governor’s home mentioned.
The MLAs assured that “they’ll prolong their cooperation at each step to make sure peace” and expressed confidence that “the state will certainly return to peace and normalcy beneath the management of the Governor,” it added.
The six legislators had been Awangbow Newmai, Khashim Vashum, Losii Dikho, Leishiyo Keishing, J. Kumo Sha and Janghemlung Panmei.
Representatives of Churachandpur Meitei United Committee, led by its co-convenor Naba Ningthoujam, additionally referred to as on the Governor and submitted a memorandum requesting “steps to be taken for the welfare of the Internally Displaced Individuals (IDPs) from the district who’re residing in numerous reduction camps.”
Highlighting their grievances, they mentioned the IDPs are dealing with hardships, to which the Governor assured them that their considerations can be addressed, the assertion added.
