Bengaluru: Whereas providing ensures on one hand, the Congress Authorities in Karnataka has imposed steep hikes in inspection and renewal charges for lifts, transformers, and mills, considerably growing the monetary burden on residents.
The Power Division’s newest order triples earlier charges, with charges that ranged from Rs. 800 to Rs. 1,000 now hovering to Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 8,000.
For properties, workplaces, and factories with a 25 kVA transformer, inspection charges have jumped from Rs. 1,300-Rs. 1,500 to Rs. 3,000-Rs. 5,000.
Small mills (5-10 kVA) that earlier had a renewal price of Rs. 2,000 will now price Rs. 5,000-Rs. 8,000.
Farmers utilizing an IP Set-25 kVA transformer will bear the heaviest affect, with charges rising from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 11,800.
These steep and sudden hikes are inserting a heavy monetary pressure on residents, companies, and farmers throughout Karnataka.
