A complete of 4,30,286 college students handed this 12 months’s West Bengal Class 12 Board examinations, the outcomes of which have been introduced on Wednesday. In response to West Bengal Council of Larger Secondary Schooling president Chiranjib Bhattacharya, 90.79 per cent of 4,82,948 candidates cleared the examination that was held from March 3 to 18. Of the profitable candidates, 92.3 per cent are boys and 88.1 per cent women, he added.
Purba Medinipur district recorded the best pass proportion at 95.74 per cent, adopted by North 24 Parganas and Kolkata. Among the many profitable candidates, 45.38 % scored above 60 %, whereas 16.99 per cent acquired 75 % and above.
In all, 72 candidates featured within the high 10 bracket. Rupayan Pal of Burdwan CMS Excessive College in Purba Bardhaman topped the record, scoring 99.4%. He was adopted by Tushar Debnath of the Baksirhat Excessive College, Cooch Behar, Rajarshi Adhikari of Arambagh Excessive College, Hooghly and Srijita Ghoshal of Sonamukhi Women’ Excessive College, Bankura. She is the primary among the many woman college students.

He mentioned this was the final examination underneath the annual system, in place since 1978. “From 2026, the HS exams can be held in February and September,” he mentioned, including that the fourth semester exams can be held from February 12-27.
