Adani Group has sought land parcels from Gujarat authorities for establishing a brand new Particular Financial Zone (SEZ) in Ahmedabad and a township in Gandhinagar, states info tabled by the federal government in Gujarat legislative meeting. The land parcels sought are in alternate for land held by the corporate.
Adani Group has sought a complete of 29,847 sq. meters of land in Ahmedabad, said the state authorities in a written reply to a query requested by Congress MLA Shailesh Parmar in the course of the Query Hour, Monday. The response from the federal government said that in alternate for 33,286 sq. meters from Survey quantity 292 of Moje Khodiyar in Daskroi taluka of Ahmedabad, a request from the corporate is pending for 18,718 sq. meters from Survey quantity 329 and 11,129 sq. meter from survey quantity 361 totalling to 29,847 sq. meters. The land sought in Ahmedabad is for a SEZ that the corporate plans to develop as a part of a contemporary township.
Equally, Adani Group has sought an extra 63,334 sq. meters of land to develop a township in Gandhinagar district, the reply added. This land is being sought in alternate for 61,211 sq. meters of land in Dantali taluka of Gandhinagar. A 3rd request from the Adani group is for buying 202 sq. meter of land in Kalol taluka of Gandhinagar. All of the three requests are at present pending with the Gujarat authorities.
When contacted concerning particulars of the tasks for which the land has been sought from the Gujarat authorities, a spokesperson of Adani group didn’t provide any remark or response. Adani Group has developed “Adani Shantigram” township on 580 acres in Ahmedabad. In line with the corporate’s web site, this built-in township was launched in 2010 and seven,000 households have been given possession in this scheme.
