Thundershowers, Hailstorm Likely in Parts of J&K on Saturday Night: MeT
Srinagar, Apr 11: Parts of Jammu and Kashmir are more likely to witness thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds and hailstorm in direction of late afternoon or night on Saturday, the Meteorological Centre Srinagar mentioned.
An official of the MeT division advised information company Kashmir Information Service, transient spells of mild rain or thundershowers could happen at remoted locations, primarily in the course of the late afternoon or night hours.
The climate is predicted to stay largely dry on April 12, with solely remoted mild rain spells. Clear situations are forecast for April 13 and 14, whereas scattered rain and thundershowers could return on April 16 and 17, the official added.
The MeT workplace has suggested farmers to renew agricultural operations, noting that most temperatures are more likely to rise steadily over the subsequent 5 days.
In the meantime, an unbiased climate forecaster Faizan Arif suggested orchard homeowners towards spraying on April 11 as a result of anticipated climate exercise.
He mentioned April 12 is predicted to stay largely dry besides at remoted locations, with spraying advisable in the course of the morning hours. Dry climate is more likely to prevail throughout the area from April 13 to April 15, he added.–(KNS)
