OKLAHOMA CITY — Thunder guard Jalen Williams, who missed six video games earlier in these playoffs with a strained left hamstring, was not in the beginning lineup for the second half of Game 2 of Oklahoma Metropolis’s matchup towards the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Convention finals on Wednesday night time.
Williams gave the impression to be getting remedy on the hamstring, then left the bench space and didn’t play in the second quarter.
Cason Wallace began the second half in Williams’ place.
The Thunder introduced that Williams wouldn’t return to the sport as a consequence of a strained left hamstring.
Williams returned for Game 1 of the Spurs’ collection, scoring 26 factors in 37 minutes on Monday night time in Oklahoma Metropolis’s 122-115 double-overtime loss. He had 4 factors in seven first-quarter minutes Wednesday, together with an alley-oop dunk with 2:12 left in the interval.
The Thunder led 62-51 at halftime of Game 2.
Williams missed 55 of the Thunder’s first 91 video games this season coming into Wednesday, together with playoffs. Of these absences, 19 had been for a proper wrist situation and the opposite 36 had been associated to his hamstrings — the suitable one costing him 30 video games in the course of the common season, the left one costing him the latest six in the course of the playoffs.
