An Air India Airbus A320 plane made an emergency landing at Delhi airport on Thursday evening following a fire in its left engine.
The incident occurred on flight AI2802 working from Bengaluru to Delhi.
“Throughout the plane’s closing method into Delhi, the cockpit crew obtained a fire indication from one of many engines. The indication was subsequently confirmed as true. The crew adopted all commonplace working procedures and landed the plane safely at Delhi airport. All passengers and crew are protected and have disembarked usually,” the airline stated in an announcement.
“Air India is straight away initiating a full investigation into the reason for the incident in coordination with the related regulatory authorities. The protection of our passengers and crew stays our highest precedence,” it added.
