Basic NS Raja Subramani Sunday took charge as the new Chief of Defence Workers, information company PTI reported.
Subhramani succeeded Basic Anil Chauhan, who stepped away on Saturday after ending his tenure as the nation’s senior-most army commander.

Subramani’s main mandate shall be to place in place the army theaterisation plan and strengthen tri-services synergy.
Taking up as the new CDS, he mentioned, “Transformation of armed forces and organisational reforms to boost synergy and integration would be the main focus. We are going to speed up the event, induction, and integration of indigenous weapons in our armed forces.”
Identified for his experience on Pakistan and China, Subramani retired as the Vice Chief of Military Workers on July 31 final 12 months, and was serving as the Navy Advisor on the Nationwide Safety Council Secretariat (NSCS) ever since.
All through his 40-year profession, Basic Subramani served throughout a large spectrum of battle profiles and held quite a few Command, Workers, and Tutorial positions.
