Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Speaker J.C.D. Prabhakar on Friday (June 12, 2026) stated notices have been issued on June 9 to four former AIADMK MLAs who voted in favour of the Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay-led authorities, once they have been members of the Home, during the arrogance vote on Could 13, defying the instructions of the get together whip.
Notices have been issued by the Assembly Secretariat to S. Jayakumar, P. Sathyabama, Maragatham Kumaravel, and Esaki Subaya, who have been among the many 25 insurgent AIADMK MLAs who voted in favour of the TVK-led authorities and later resigned from their posts as legislators and joined the TVK. Barring these four, the remaining 21 insurgent MLAs have been condoned by AIADMK basic secretary Edappadi Ok. Palaniswami after they reconciled with the get together.
Talking to journalists on the Secretariat in Chennai, Mr. Prabhakar stated the four former MLAs would have to reply inside every week from the date of issuance of the notices.
Coaching programme for MLAs
Additional, the Speaker stated a two-day coaching programme on June 16 and 17 will probably be organised by the Assembly Secretariat at Kalaivanar Arangam in Chennai for all MLAs to familiarise themselves with Assembly proceedings.
Mr. Vijay will inaugurate the coaching programme, and all legislators, regardless of their prior expertise, will probably be invited to attend. Officers from the Assembly Secretariat and former Assembly Secretaries will conduct periods on the procedures to be adopted during Assembly periods.
