Security Council LIVE: Warnings of ‘dangerous cycle of escalation’ in Ukraine

Lethal drone and missile assaults in Ukraine over the weekend represented a “harmful cycle of escalation” in Russia’s full-scale four-year-old warfare, the Security Council heard on Monday from Mohamed Khaled Khiari, Assistant Secretary-Basic in the Departments of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs and Peace Operations, whereas Edem Wosornu, disaster response director on the UN aid workplace, OCHA, warned that “the alternatives made right here can imply the distinction between lives saved or lives misplaced.”
