Three progressive candidates endorsed by New York Metropolis Mayor Zohran Mamdani received Democratic primaries for House seats on Tuesday evening, ousting two incumbents within the course of.
Brad Lander, who beforehand was town’s comptroller, defeated incumbent Rep. Dan Goldman within the tenth congressional district, which incorporates elements of decrease Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Darializa Avila Chevalier bested Rep. Adriano Espaillat within the thirteenth District, which covers higher Manhattan and elements of The Bronx.
And the third Mamdani-endorsed candidate, Claire Valdez, received the first for what might be an open House seat representing the seventh District, which incorporates neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Queens.
