MONACO — Ferrari says team principal Fred Vasseur is “underneath commentary at a neighborhood medical facility” and will not be on the observe for Monaco Grand Prix qualifying on Saturday.
The Italian team didn’t specify any particulars of the 58-year-old French racing govt’s situation.
“Fred Vasseur will not be current on the circuit immediately. Following some medical checks, Fred will stay underneath commentary at a neighborhood medical facility,” Ferrari stated.
“No additional medical data will be supplied. We want Fred a speedy restoration and look ahead to seeing him again on the observe quickly.”
Vasseur has led Ferrari’s System 1 team since 2023 and was handed a multi-year contract extension final yr.
