US fighter jets have struck Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) speedboats as explosions had been heard close to the port of Bandar Abbas, Iranian media reported.
The reported attack occurred on Monday as US and Iranian negotiators arrived in Qatar in hopes of advancing stalled talks.
In line with SNN, the attack on the Iranian vessels came about south of Larak Island, within the narrowest part of the Strait of Hormuz, which stays underneath a twin US-Iranian blockade. No less than three Iranian sailors had been killed, SNN mentioned.
