Mumbai: MedGenome has acquired a majority stake in Mumbai-based imaging community Siddhi Diagnostics & Analysis Centre (SDRC), combining its genomics and multi-omics capabilities with SDRC’s three many years of diagnostic imaging experience to expand entry to integrated diagnostic companies throughout Western India.
Based in 1995, SDRC is led by Ajit Pungavkar and Sona Pungavkar. The community operates 5 centres throughout Nalasopara (East and West), Vasai, Virar and Thane, providing companies together with MRI, CT, X-ray, sonography, mammography and cardiac investigations. The promoters will proceed to lead operations.
Surajit Chakrabartty, CFO, MedGenome, mentioned the partnership goals to mix structural insights from imaging with molecular insights from genomics to help earlier and extra exact medical choices, whereas strengthening entry to superior diagnostics in high-growth suburban markets round Mumbai.
Dr Pungavkar mentioned, “In medical follow, we frequently see circumstances the place imaging alone doesn’t present the complete image, particularly in advanced or early-stage situations. By way of this partnership, we are actually ready to complement imaging findings with deeper molecular insights, which might considerably enhance how clinicians interpret and act on diagnostic data. This brings a significant shift in how diagnostics are used—not simply in figuring out illness, however in guiding extra exact and well timed therapy choices.”
Dr Sona added, “As diagnostics continues to evolve, the power to combine totally different layers of data turns into more and more vital. With the developments in AI, immediately we’re ready to analyse the outcomes of each analysis holistically. Over time, this strategy will assist make superior diagnostics extra seamlessly integrated into routine care, bettering each accessibility and the general high quality of medical decision-making.”
