As many as 7062 tanks will be rejuvenated under Jala Dhara-Jala Harathi programme, which was launched to enhance groundwater and supply sufficient water for irrigation wants in Vizianagaram district.

Collector S. Ramsundar Reddy and Joint Collector S.Sedhu Madhavan directed officers of the District Water Administration Company to determine works comparable to strengthening of bunds, removing of silt and connectivity among the many tanks and others.
