Bryce Pickford continues to rack up the {hardware}.
The Montreal Canadiens prospect was named the CHL’s Defenceman of the Year on Monday, including to his trophy case after already successful WHL MVP and the league’s prime blue-liner award final month.
The 20-year-old Pickford was captain of the Medication Hat Tigers this season and scored 45 objectives and 83 factors, with a plus-55 ranking. His 45 objectives positioned second in the WHL and are the most by a defenceman in the league by way of the final 38 years.
Pickford and the Tigers superior to the third spherical of the WHL playoffs however misplaced to the Prince Albert Raiders in six video games. He was the second consecutive member of the Tigers to take dwelling WHL MVP after Gavin McKenna received the award in 2025.
