A hearth at an exterior data centre has prompted a disruption in Google Cloud services throughout India.
Tech big Google Cloud on Wednesday mentioned its site visitors originating from Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai and surrounding areas have been experiencing community disruptions and elevated latency because of a hearth at a third-party data centre facility in the nationwide capital late on Tuesday night time (IST).
“A hearth at a third-party data centre facility required an emergency energy shutdown of networking tools, isolating a non-compute native Level of Presence (POP) in Delhi and decreasing obtainable community capability in the metro space. We rerouted vital site visitors from the impacted facility in Delhi to handle the lowered native serving capabilities,” the corporate mentioned.

Google additionally defined that it was investigating extra site visitors mitigations and Web Edge peering augmentation to alleviate the latency points affecting its prospects.
“Prospects could expertise barely elevated latency and non-optimal community routing into Google Cloud till the affected facility is absolutely restored. There is no such thing as a workaround at this time,” the corporate additional mentioned.
