State-owned metal maker SAIL on Friday posted an over 42 per cent rise in standalone net profit to ₹1,680 crore throughout the March quarter of FY26, citing increased revenues.
The corporate had reported a net profit of ₹1,178 crore within the year-ago interval, Metal Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) mentioned in an announcement.
Throughout January-March, the corporate’s income from operations elevated to ₹30,813 crore from ₹29,316 crore recorded within the fourth quarter of the previous 2024-25 monetary yr.
The corporate’s board additionally authorised a ultimate dividend of ₹2.35 per fairness share for FY26. Annual net profit stood at ₹3,233 crore as towards ₹2,148 crore registered in FY25.
Income from operations was at ₹1,10,810 crore throughout FY 26 as towards ₹1,02,478 crore a yr in the past. In FY26, SAIL produced 19.43 million tonnes of metal as towards 19.17 million tonnes in FY25.
The corporate reported annual gross sales of 19.93 million tonnes in FY26, up from 17.89 million tonnes in 2024-25.
The corporate’s CMD, A Ok Panda, said: “The expansion in gross sales volumes, coupled with a discount in stock and borrowings, has bolstered our profitability, with PBT and PAT registering development of 44 per cent and 50.5 per cent over the corresponding earlier yr, respectively.”
